Neck diagonal stretch
A diagonal neck stretch, nose toward the armpit, for the back and side of the neck where tension builds up.
How to do it
- Sit or stand tall and relax your shoulders.
- Turn your head halfway to one side, then lower your nose toward that armpit.
- Rest the hand on that side lightly on the back of your head; its weight is enough.
Remember
Nose toward your armpit, shoulders heavy.
Take care
Never pull; stop if you feel dizzy or tingling in your arm.
Ask a professional first if you have:
- a neck injury, or dizziness or arm tingling when you move your head
Stretch gently and never into pain. StretchUp gives general guidance and is not a medical device.
