How to do it

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart.
  2. Hinge at the hips and let your upper body hang.
  3. Bend your knees as much as you need.

Remember

Soft knees. Let your head hang heavy.

Take care

Roll up slowly to avoid dizziness.

Ask a professional first if you have:

  • osteoporosis or low bone density (avoid deep rounding of the back and strong twists)
  • glaucoma, or high blood pressure that isn’t well controlled (head below the heart)
  • recent back surgery or nerve pain down the leg

Stretch gently and never into pain. StretchUp gives general guidance and is not a medical device.
